Lace Mirrors

Part designed object, part artist multiple-- Lace Mirrors are laser-cut out of mirrored acrylic and made-to-order. They come as singles, divided into a set of quadrants or as an asymmetrical pattern. Individual mirrors can be installed to peek around corners, over furniture or hung as a full repeating lace pattern. By taking imagery lifted from traditionally handmade objects and playing with methods of abstraction using digital technologies, traditional patterns are re-imagined as an elegant optical illusion of tessellating lace.
